Exploring Słupsk

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Słupsk, a city in northern Poland, where I have family. Although I had been to the city many times before, this was the first time I truly explored all that it had to offer. From its rich history to its vibrant culture, Słupsk truly amazed me. In this blog post, I want to share my experiences with you and give you an insight into this beautiful city.

History of Słupsk: Słupsk has a long and rich history that dates back to the 1200s when it was first formed. The city is located on the Słupia River and has been an important trade center since its inception. Throughout its history, Słupsk has been under the control of various powers, including the Pomeranian dukes, the Teutonic Knights, and the Polish kings. Today, the city is known for its well-preserved architecture from different eras, including Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles.

Exploring Słupsk: One of the highlights of my visit to Słupsk was visiting the "Herbaciarnia w Spichlerzu," also known as the "Tea Room in Granary." This tea room is a must-visit for anyone who loves tea. They offer over 100 different flavors to choose from, and the ambiance of the place is simply amazing. It's located in a granary building that has been beautifully restored and now houses the tea room.

One thing to note if you're planning to fly a drone in Słupsk is that there are flight restrictions due to a nearby city jail. However, we were able to find a suitable spot near the town hall to fly our drone and capture some stunning aerial shots of the city.

Another highlight of my visit was spending time with my family and exploring the countryside around Słupsk. We even got to steal some eggs from the chicken coop, which was quite an adventure. Thankfully, the chickens were friendly, and we didn't encounter any issues.

If you're planning a trip to Poland, be sure to add Słupsk to your list of must-visit destinations. I can't wait to return and explore more of what this beautiful city has to offer.
